Our Impact

Oregon Contemporary’s 3-Year Impact: 2023-2025

Every gift made goes towards Ox supporting the artists, exhibitions and programs you care about including our current exhibition celebrating the life and work of Ursula K. Le Guin, and the 2026 Biennial, featuring 25 extraordinary Oregon artists, curated by TK Smith.

Since 2023, we have:

  • 14 Major Exhibitions including the Artists’ Biennial and solo exhibitions by Ben Buswell, Emily Counts, and Marcus Fischer

  • 124 Programs and Events

  • 52% of these were BIPOC led or majority

Supported

  • 954 unique Artists, Curators, and Performers in exhibitions, programs, events, talks, tenant and partner programming, and more

  • 130 unique Organizations through tenant spaces, partnerships, events, and more

  • 37% of these are BIPOC led or majority

Presented

  • 299 Public events and exhibitions with our programs, tenants, and partners

  • 90% of events and exhibitions were free

  • 62% were donated/discounted  space- including donations of space to communities of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and People with Disabilities, or deeply discounted for arts and culture groups and Kenton neighborhood events

What does a donation to Oregon Contemporary do?

Supports free access to cutting edge regional to international art for all visitors… this past year we hosted nearly 15,000 visitors

Supports artists and cultural producers being paid fair wages, as established by W.A.G.E. (Working Artists and the Greater Economy)

Supports First Saturdays with exhibitions and programs throughout the 12,000+ Square foot building.

Supports discounted partnerships for other arts and community groups to present their work in our building.
